Chocolate Cream Pie

This recipe for Chocolate Cream Pie is so yummy and creamy. It is easy to make and everyone will be asking for another slice!

Ingredients needed:

1 2/3 cups water
4 tablespoons cornstarch
6 tablespoons cocoa
1-14 ounce can eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
3 egg yolks, beaten
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-9 inch baked pastry shells

Directions for making:

Step 1: Mix cornstarch, water and cocoa until smooth.
Step 2: Stir into cocoa mixture; Eagle Brand milk and egg yolks.
Step 3: Cook in saucepan or microwave until thick.
Step 4: Stir in 2 tablespoons butter.
Step 5: Add one teaspoon vanilla.
Step 6: Cool slightly; stirring occasionally.
Step 7: Pour into cooled baked pie shell.

For meringue:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°.
Step 2: Top with meringue and brown.



Tips:
I use refrigerated pie crust you buy at grocery store.
Instead of meringue topping you may use whipped cream or cool whip as topping after chilling pie.
