Hamburger Gravy or S.O.S Recipe

This is a favorite of my grand kids. It is easy and quick and filling. Some folks know it better by S.O.S. I cannot tell you what the initials are because they are not too nice, but anyone who had affiliations with armed forces will know. You may also use sausage and serve over hot biscuits.


1 pound ground beef or pork sausage
2 small onions, chopped
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 can cream of mushroom soup


Brown and drain the ground beef.
Sauté onion until tender.
Add remaining ingredients, adding water a little at a time until mixture is smooth and creamy.
Sever over rice, potatoes, biscuits or toast
